Best Sound Engineering

Dana Fehr

If there's one thing that matters above all else at a live show (beyond the band, of course), it's what goes on in the nondescript booth in the back. The sound engineering, when done well, barely registers on the average concert-goer's radar. This is why sound engineers are the unsung heroes of the phenomenon that is a stellar live show. Dana Fehr, who worked at Plush for several years and has recently moved to Club Congress, epitomizes the best of what Tucson has to offer in the way of live sound. He captures the essence of incredibly diverse acts and artfully negotiates a band's needs while making things work best within the framework of the venue. Hats off to Dana for setting the bar impossibly high in Tucson's realm of sound.
