Man cannot live by bread alone--usually there must also be a filling. Beyond Bread bakes more kinds of great bread than you can shake a stick at, and while they'll sell you a loaf intact, you'd be well advised to let them slice it up and make you one of a couple dozen big, scrumptious, impeccably fresh sandwiches. (BB also fields a nice selection of salads, cookies and pastries.) Ingredients are first-rate, the combinations are toothsome, and everything is made with care and--dare we say it?--love. Your only problem is finding a place to park at lunchtime: Both locations do massive midday business. Nobody ever said Tucsonans don't know where to eat.
