Best Rock Music Station

KFMA FM 92.1

Readers Pick

Some of us are old enough to remember a time before KFMA, when the Test Department was on KLPX, when the only way you could hear "alternative rock" was if you went out and bought the CDs. It's to KFMA's credit that they have maintained their status and are still playing the kind of music you can't really hear on other radio stations in town. They're always right in line with "new rock," whatever it may be, while never forgetting their roots. Heck, the other day, we even heard Fugazi's "Waiting Room" blasting over the commercial airwaves, followed by something much more current, and we must admit, we thought that was pretty damn cool.
