Best Radio Station for News

KUAZ FM 89.1/AM 1550

Readers Pick

Don't be fooled that this is just our NPR affiliate or that it's on the UA campus. There is an emphasis here on local when described as the local outlet. It's what makes those morning drives to the office good for us—the talented Andrea Kelly giving us a report on the latest city or county issue. There's Fernanda Echavarri covering education issues and Mark McLemore on Arizona Spotlight. Their voices covering and reporting on local issues makes the station more than an NPR affiliate and an important news voice in Tucson. You can sing in the car with the kids to whatever Top 40 hit the corporate stations are playing these days, or you can set the dial to 89.1 and give everyone something to talk about before school or at the dinner table at home.

Runners up:

2. KQTH FM 104.1 (The Truth)

3. KXCI FM 91.3
