Reid Park

READERS' PICK: If Jimi Hendrix had had a more satisfying childhood, and eased up on the psychotropics, he may have written about the play towers of Reid Park's playgrounds, instead of the watchtower in his mind. Oh, Jimi, you would have loved the way you can go from one play tower to the other and then slide down and climb up to do it all over again at one of Reid Park's four playgrounds, the largest of which being a good 200 by 200 feet and the other three being closer to 80 by 80 feet. You know these playgrounds are sweet little heartbreakers: No need to throw a tantrum and smash and burn your guitar; there's plenty of room and fun to be had by all.
