In these days of TV, TiVo and total Internet access, it's easy to forget that baseball is an outdoor event. But, believe it or not, some people still like to go to the park to watch it unfold with a beautiful Sonoran Desert backdrop. Tucson Electric Park offers great evening views as the merciless sun fades behind the bleachers, casting purple on the mountains and rainbows on the monsoon showers. Unfortunately, not enough people do this, so our hometown baseball team has officially joined the ranks of the undead. Next year will probably be the Sidewinders' last season here before they run off to Reno to get hitched to somebody else's sweetheart stadium deal. Enjoy it while you can.
