One more thing that makes the Loft Cinema unique: You can drink there. And by drink, we mean there's beer and wine that you can buy at the concession stand. And by beer and wine, we mean Nimbus beer and decent wine. Never mind that they serve the wine in easy-to-spill plastic cups (extra dangerous when you're heading for the upstairs theater): This is still a movie theater, and it's embarrassing when you drop a glass or anything in a movie theater in the middle of the main character's breakthrough moment. The only thing that makes an arty independent film artier is sipping a red or contemplatively swigging a local brew.
