There are many great reasons to go to The Shanty, but if you're looking for the best of both worlds—a traditional dark beer, like a Guinness, poured just right, combined with a pale ale, like a Bass—then the Shanty is the destination. The copper bar, the pool tables and the patio are nice, and once you get that black and tan in your hands, you realize part of the reason it's so good is that The Shanty is like home—it's comfortable. You can come by yourself for a spot at the bar, take in a game on the TV and some conversation, or meet some friends and play pool. It's like going to your favorite aunt's bar, and that's what makes the beer taste so good.
