When KFMA station owner Lotus decided in 2011 to move its popular The Frank Show over to KLPX, it lucked out by finding a strong replacement in Todd Fooks, who goes by just Fook when working the 6- to 10-a.m. weekday shift that requires a mix of music, mayhem and mischief. But it wasn't until this past year that Fook Music Mornings took it to another level. That's when Mishell Livio, a local who'd spent time in Los Angeles as an actress, model and comedian, joined Fook and turned the duo into quite a colorful pair. Mishell's great voice work and dry responses to some of her cohort's oddball observations go far beyond the run-of-the-mill morning 'blend' of hosts laughing fakely at each other's jokes.
