With two convenient locations, now organized so a customer can shop like a normal person, the Chicago Music Store of the new millennium abides in the shadow of their legendary ancestor. Musicians reveled in the old store’s inscrutable maze of aisles, and delighted to hear themselves on its exotic and rare instruments. Rainer Ptacek was guitar tech, for chrissakes. Still, the stores have every last thing, for your instrument and any other in the world.
