There is nothing quite like a good Michelada Cubana to bring you out of the doldrums, though it can be hard to find a good one--a little Clamato or V8 poured into a glass of Dos Equis does not count! Michelada Cubanas can vary--and, of course, you can make them however the hell you want--but generally speaking, the spicy concoction should contain the following: hot sauce (Valencia being superb), Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, lime, ice, salt and a Mexican beer of choice. The best we found, somewhat surprisingly, was at Plush. A bartender from Baja California made it, and obviously, homeboy had some experience--'cause it was good.
