Janos Wilder
While several new chefs in town are stepping up to make a name for Tucson in the culinary scene, you'd be crazy not to recognize the city's original celebrity chef: Janos Wilder. His work in defining Sonoran and Southwestern food is inspirational, which is why he was recognized as the region's best chef in 2000 by the James Beard Foundation. If you didn't get to try his restaurant then, Janos, stop into his more casual dining joint called Downtown Kitchen + Cocktails.
