Different groups compete to outdo each other in the decoration department, using paint and crêpe paper and glitter and found materials. No two are alike and every year surprising innovations pop up and are added to the standard repertoire. There are always lots of glorious paper flowers and at least one or two in a ranch theme with chicken wire and fenceposts. They're an ephemeral pleasure, lasting as long as the fiesta and then gone forever.
