Sometimes you just want to get out of town and sleep on the ground. You don't want to worry about packing every little thing you could possibly need to camp in the wilderness. You don't want to drive and drive and drive to get to that elusive idyllic mountaintop where no lights can taint the night sky. This is when it's best to throw a case of beer in your trunk, and head just a little bit up Mount Lemmon to the Gordon Hirabayashi Campground. Yes, there's a possibility you'll be camping in the vicinity of s'mores-addled children and/or a gaggle of intoxicated college kids. But it's not the '60s anymore: Getting away from it all takes too much work. Also, there're bathrooms.
