Best Delicatessen

Rincon Market

Readers' Pick: The first class centrally located delicatessen has been serving us since 1926 and is a favorite place to stop after work for something great for dinner; or if you prefer, they will deliver. The deli meats and cheeses are top choice USDA and the selection is endless. Planning a party? They cater and their prices are reasonable. The bakery and bread selections are irresistible, and the salad side dishes are all too good to pass up.

Readers' Poll Runner-up: Feig's Kosher Foods, 5071 E. Fifth St. For pastrami, corned beef and matzo ball soup, you've got to go to Feig's. Pick a number, order your sandwich and potato salad (it's always delicious), a Dr. Brown's cream, and pick up a Times. Now you've got a great lunch. You can talk to Jack about golf at the Raven or just mind your own business. And it's kosher. Don't think you're going to get a pastrami and Swiss. The place closes at sundown and is obviously closed on Saturday. Sundays, though, feature a terrific brunch.
