KIIM FM 99.5

Readers Pick

In Tucson radio's country-music arena, there's really only one player. KIIM FM 99.5 has dominated the format since it exploded in popularity nearly two decades ago. Sure, the occasional competitor has tried to make headway, only to get inevitably steamrolled by Tucson's country-radio machine. Toss in a lineup highlighted by Max, Shannon and Porkchop in the morning, and Buzz Jackson (who has received national honors for his work) during the drive home; then add a slew of anticipated promotions and the ability to lure desirable music attractions; and it's no wonder Tucsonans go to KIIM for their country-music fix. For those who need a little attitude, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts or Taylor Swift, they know where to go: smack-dab in the middle of the FM dial at 99.5.
