Don't avoid evening walks along Fourth Avenue just because of the bars and clubs. An evening walk along Fourth Avenue with the kids after dinner is a great way to get in a little city excursion. Going down both sides of the shopping district can be great exercise and a great adventure, considering the interesting storefronts, the giant tiki head in front of The Hut, art galleries, bookstores, street performers and break-dancers. We recommend concluding with a dessert pit stop at Dairy Queen. If you time it right, you can sit outside with your ice cream just as the Hare Krishnas parade down the street, harmlessly drumming, singing and smiling.
