The All Souls Procession

Staff Pick, Video

Last year's All Soul's Procession through downtown was a spectacular parade of tens of thousands of Tucsonans celebrating the spirit of Dia de los Muertos, with representations of departed family members mixed with icons like the shuttered Tucson Citizen newspaper and Macho B, the last known jaguar in North America (who died after being captured). The parade was followed by an epic Calexico concert at the Rialto Theatre which had been transformed into a shrine to the sugar skull. We can't wait to see the movie—and for this year's celebration on Nov. 7.
