Well, it's true that the entire mountain has great camping, hiking and backpacking, but let's take a closer look. This is part of the Catalina Mountains with its broad summit going up nearly 7,000 feet above out city. We look to it each season and there's even snow during the winter. Camping is one of the best ways to experience the mountain. Our fave camp ground is Rose Canyon. Warning: it is one of the most popular so try week day if you can and make reservations.
