OF MYTHIC PROPORTIONS: This crosstown route is the best way to beat rush hour traffic on Broadway or the facetiously named Speedway. Stretching over 10 miles from Wilmot on the east to the main Pima Community College campus on the west, it sports a fancy new crossing at Country Club before passing through Sam Hughes, where on weekends you'll want to slow down for yard sales. Then it plunges into the middle of the UA campus, where it detours around four separate construction projects. As you exit the campus, you pass Starbucks, Coffee Plantation and Café Paraiso, where you can get your caffeine fix. Then continue on downtown, sharing the road with cars and a trolley, to Fourth Avenue, where you just graze the end of the Street Fair. Just don't forget to wear a helmet!
