Perhaps it's the downtown location and the friendly, hip staff. Or maybe it's the young-skewing clientele. Somehow, Barrio Grill maintains a balance between urbane sophistication and casual élan that accommodates both flip-flops and three-button suits. Couple that with perhaps the broadest array of top-shelf and exotic spirits in downtown, as well as reliable domestic staples like Miller High Life, and you have a bar setting that's mature but hardly stuffy. Barrio's patio is great, too, comparable to a Continental outdoor drinking or dining experience. It's the watering hole equivalent of great mise-en-scène-all the right elements in all the right places.
