Arizona Trail

Readers Pick

The Arizona Trail, an 800-mile multi-use path that stretches from Mexico to Utah, is enjoyed by hikers, mountain bikers, equestrians and nature lovers. One of the passages cuts right through the Santa Catalina mountains, which can be accessed via the Gordon Hirabayashi trailhead on Mount Lemmon. For those who are feeling adventurous and wish to attempt the entire length of the Arizona Trail, it's best to study up: Know where to cache water and supplies; be aware of the elevation and weather changes; and don't forget your camera, because you're going to see some stellar sights along the way including The Grand Canyon, Patagonia, White Canyon National Monument and The Roosevelt Dam. The Arizona Trail is the perfect way to see Arizona's incredible ecological diversity using your own two feet.

A somewhat greedy, but understandable, response: "Like I'd tell everyone in Tucson?"
