Tucson Museum of Art

This year's exhibits no doubt had something to do with this perennial winner's repeat performance. Deborah Butterfield's stunning scrap metal/found-wood horses, an exhibit of the lacy cut paper art from Mexico and the touring Birdspace: A Post Audubon Artists' Aviary wowed visitors. And the permanent collections, which include a 1,900-piece collection of Art of the Americas that dates back to 500 B.C., also give the TMA staff something to brag about. Other attractions at this museum include the Historic Block that features five homes that once housed influential Tucson families and an amazing gift store. If you've never been to TMA, now is the time. If you've been before, it's time for another visit.
