Before Candelabra: The Martyrdom of Oscar Wilde

To mark LGBT History Month, English professor and lecturer Jerrold Hogle and pianist M. Kevin Chau collaborate in a presentation about two of the arts' most flamboyant geniuses, Oscar Wilde and Liberace, at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12; free. Hogle discusses the rise and fall of Wilde's literary and private personae. Chau performs Frederic Rzewski's setting of Wilde's De Profundis for speaking pianist.
