B-Sides: Black Friday at Wooden Tooth Records

STOCK UP, HOEDOWN

Wooden Tooth Records (415 N. Fourth Ave.) is honoring the fine American holiday, Black Friday, with a big old record sale featuring discounted merchandise, live music and super exclusive releases. Starting at 10 a.m., the record store in Café Passe will be offering 10 percent off all stock, with a special flash vinyl sale from 2 until 4 p.m. that offers 20 percent off records. The sale also includes 50 percent off used DVDs and CDs, as well as some vinyl giveaways. The store will also be handing out free "bootleg" Wooden Tooth hats if you buy more than $40 worth of stuff—not a difficult task, considering their great selection of new, used and local music. Record geeks will also find special exclusives and limited edition releases from Howlin' Wolf, Deerhoof, Otis Redding, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Ty Segall doing a bunch of T. Rex covers.

Then around 7 p.m., the back patio area will transform into a honky tonk when the Wanda Junes and the Electrified Donkey Band take the stage. Both events, which take place on Friday, Nov. 27, are free to attend.
