TransMAN, when I interview anyone who identifies as transgender or genderqueer, I ask them how they want me to do the pronouns. I used the pronouns TC said s/he is comfortable with.
If you don't know ... what I do is always ask first if I am interviewing someone who is transgender or genderqueer. I always ask what pronouns "they" prefer. "They" is great, but if someone tells me specifically what "they" prefer, that's what I go with.
As well as those who do not know the difference between you're and your.
