Augmented Reality in Paris

As part of a larger series on multimedia, "Walking the Spirit: Augmenting the Paris Experience" is a talk on Wednesday, Feb. 11 by UA Assistant Professor Bryan Carter that will examine the relatively new technology of augmented reality. This innovation utilizes software and smart devices to allow users to see the world differently. With tourism specifically, augmented reality can create interactive information displays and reenact simulations based off your surroundings in real-time. The lecture, located at Playground Bar & Lounge, will discuss the technology's current role in a short-term Parisian study abroad experience. The free event is at Playground Bar and Lounge, 278 E. Congress St. More info can be found at the event Facebook page.
