Best of Tucson® 2013 is finally here, and while I can't speak for everyone in the Tucson Weekly offices, now that it's on stands, I'm going to try to relax for a few moments after the stress of getting all the various pieces of this annual puzzle together. It's a big project, but yet, once the print version hit my desk, I still thumbed through it with excitement, even though I've known the winners for months. I mention this in the BOT intro, but it's sort of amazing that we put this thing together each year, so thanks to everyone who was a part of it this time around.
On a related note, and not that the commenting class was waiting for my permission to say something, but we're probably going to tinker with the format, categories and such next year, so feel free to let me know what you think we could change. The emphasis will always be on the votes of the readers and we're going to keep the basic structure of the categories, but I'm willing to look at nearly anything else. So, what are we missing? What do you think would create more accurate results? Send me an email with your thoughts. It might take me a little while to get back to you while I spend a week or so not thinking about Best of Tucson®, but afterwards, I'd love to hear your ideas.

He's going to be handling the social media, blogging and coming up with better ways to get the Weekly to you on our computer, phone or skull-implanted chip. Lastly, on Wednesday the 2nd, I'll be at Tap & Bottle on 6th with the people from UApresents trying to introduce people to the music of Red Baraat, a band fusing New Orleans brass bands and the Indian pop culture jams of Bollywood. They're playing the Rialto on Friday the 4th and UApresents will be giving away CDs and tickets to the show. Come by, grab some food from Twisted Tandoor and a beer.
