"I will continue fighting to protect critical programs for seniors, families and children that matter to Southern Arizonans and protect the missions at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Fort Huachuca and the 162nd Fighter Wing of the Arizona Air National Guard — all of which are essential to our local economy and the nation’s defense.”

This quote pretty much sums up Barber's problem...and ours. And he should have added Raytheon and the Border Patrol to his list of military constituents who are holding him hostage.

Good question daisey, we could start with Michelle Obama's 200 million plus vacations, the various splurging on nonsense by politicians such as funding cell phones for those on welfare, an airport in Oklahoma that receives no air traffic, a harbor in Alaska with no road to or from nor any people around, politicians voting themselves raises for not doing their jobs, and exempting themselves from the very laws thy pass, and finally their lifetime pensions and health care. The military really is the spending problem.

Since the US is not only the top military spender in the world, with the DoD amount being more than the next 14 countries COMBINED, where do you think the spending cuts should come from? D'Oh!!
