Having attended multiple forums, debates, and presentations on PCC in the last two years, I feel qualified to state that Sylvia Lee and Richard Fridena would be major assets to the PCC Board of Governors as a result of their knowledge, education, philosophical understanding the community college mission, and energy and enthusiasm for the unpaid task. The present board members, while individually fine people, have served too long and become too complacent and forgetful of their responsibilities to the public whom they should be serving.

Francis P Saitta, Candidate, 5th District Seat, PCC Board of Governors

1. Why did you initially decide to run?

I decided to run as a Candidate for the 5th District Seat on the PCC BOG because I felt, as an Educator, Pima Community College had “lost its’ way” as a Community College; that the Administration/Faculty had converted PCC into a “Prep School” for University entrance.
