It is not unusual to first consider a “best case scenario” when analyzing a situation involving a person with a good reputation and long history of ‘giving back’ to a community. I did not present any “…evidence” to support my opinion that "the majority of the time" such theft is symptomatic of a clinical psychological problem, because I was expressing my opinion (based on widely published research) and not presenting a case in a legal arena where such substantiation is required.

Not only was Martha not expecting or receiving 'special' treatment after being arrested because of her fame/prestige in the community, but rather her situation has been spread across social and print media and sensationalized because of those very things.
