      <![CDATA[thanks for input, patch - i thought that journalist sued stuff was BS, too - but didn't feel like pursuing it further with a company that was acting so flaky to begin with. would be a good topic for my further investigation (when I get a second in between other jazz).

      <![CDATA[Why would home owners insurance, pay when a journalist gets sued?<br>
The homeowners insurance is for something happening to your house, or someone getting injured IN your house.<br>
<br>
Also, if your existing insurance carrier sent you a letter about your new rate... and you send in the money, they cannot deny you. You are agreeing to the new rate, that THEY sent you.
