Here's a sweet, sweet video of a new tune by KT Tunstall. Its beautiful, but it's also beautiful to see Tucson's Brian Lopez singing along and the entire moment taking place in Tucson's Wavelab Recording Studios.…

In what I can only assume is some sort of retaliatory shot at our fair city for celebrating the cancellation of The Cleveland Show, the folks at Family Guy dropped another insult on Tucson, this time mocking the young minds being molded at the University of Arizona:

Ooooh, man. That...that one stung. I'm not certain we'll be able to make it back, as a community, from a burn of that magnitude.…

On Tuesday, Arizona's District 26 Rep. Juan Mendez made national headlines for delivering a secular invocation at the beginning of the day's floor session.

Yesterday, District 11 Rep. Steve Smith, apparently, didn't appreciate that at all.…

In their second offering to YouTube's highly-advertised Comedy Week, The Lonely Island has decided to take the recent hip-hop trend of hashtag rap (as perpetrated by Drake, Childish Gambino, Kanye West and others) and turn it on its ear.

And, I think it's great, mostly because it means Andy Samberg is actually doing something funny again.…

In 1969, four men by the names of John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, Artie Kornfield and Mike Lang, set out to organize a music festival that, little did they know, would become one of the most well-known music events in history.

Although the festival created a huge amount of problems for the poor guys, including thousands of dollars of debt and approximately 80 lawsuits, it set the stage for the long history of successful festivals to follow.…

On the Bill Buckmaster Show on Friday, May 17, when Steve Kozachik was asked if the city's courting of Grand Canyon University to develop a campus on the the El Rio Golf Course property in Barrio Hollywood would move forward, the Tucson councilman said he didn't think it would and doesn't think it should.

Grand Canyon University wants to build a 100-acre campus in the Tucson area, and the city offered a special deal or lease for the golf course — although the Range was told recently that there have been 11 potential sites total that the city and university has identified for its campus development.…

There aren't a ton of heartwarming stories coming out of Oklahoma today - it appears that the death toll might have been overstated yesterday, although there are still people unaccounted for, so who knows? - but occasionally, you have to appreciate even the smallest bits of good news, like this moment captured in a CBS news segment.…

Let's recap: In 2010, Amy's Baking Company, a Scottsdale bistro, became "famous" for going after a reviewer on Yelp. Late last year, during the taping of Fox's Kitchen Nightmares, Scottsdale PD were called to the scene to defuse a shouting match between owner Samy Bouzaglo and a patron who waited more than an hour for his food.…

A new TV ad featuring Caren Teves, who son was slain in the Colorado movie theater massacre, hits Sen. Jeff Flake for not supporting the Manchin-Toomey background-check legislation.

Flake responds via Facebook:

If you are anywhere close to a television set in Arizona in the coming days, you’ll likely see an ad about gun control financed by NYC Mayor Bloomberg.…

Oh, how the crazy have fallen: Kai Lawrence, the vigilante hitchhiker who warmed all of our hearts by beating the mess out of people who are attacking other people, is wanted for questioning in the murder of a New Jersey man.

According to Gawker, 73-year-old Joseph Galfy was found dead in his home on Monday as a result of blunt-force trauma—which is what worries us, considering that Kai is a man who isn't afraid to smash, smash, SUH-MASH his way through problems.

Kai, we hope that this isn't true, that your name will be cleared and that you will return to weirdly serenading television news reporters—and not just because we really want to get paid for "Kai Lawrence Hatchets Through History!"

Mostly because of that, though.…

I guess Reid Park symphony nights have their place and all, especially in our childhood.…

You have a little over two weeks left to vote in our Best of Tucson balloting for 2013 (wait, it's 2013, what the hell?). Voting ends on May 31 at midnight, so why not spare yourself the last-minute panic of filling out a ballot at the end of the month and take care of business today?

Also, enjoy the above video by America.…

Sure, you could watch Jaime Gonzalez's Shattered on YouTube, but today is International Day of Families, so the Border Action Network and the Loft are showing the film at 7 p.m.

Presented by the Latino Policy Coalition, the film is about a young mother who is apprehended by ICE and taken into detention. The father is dead, and the children are separated from their mother.…
