Pima and Alvernon...A true life "The Kids Aren't Alright" by the Offspring. I lived there, but I've never heard of the woman that set herself on fire. When was that? Or is that part fiction. It definitely sounds like something that would happen there. It's a neighborhood where working class families and whores/ junkies live in a parallel universe. I, like Cactus-Corazon, felt compelled to keep the 'Tucson Salvage' piece. It lets me know that I'm not the only one who felt like that place was a complete Twilight Zone. I now live in a neighborhood nearby, but I still feel like I'm passing ghosts & sadness whenever I drive through that area. I try to avoid it.
