It's 420, not 520.
And good move by Colo. Dept. of Public Safety, use the tax $$$ from legal marijuana sales to do good.
Rick - Yes, I would have been surprised to NOT see Barber's name supporting the Cromnibus bill with the giveaways to Citibank and the land to a foreign mine co., he's made some really horrible votes in Congress. It's why he's the only Democrat I didn't vote for, I voted write-in "Someone Better". While I'm not looking forward to a Congresswoman McSally, I'm not shedding any tears over her 167 vote win.
CD02 is a very competitive district - after 2 easy wins Gabby almost lost to the likes of Jesse Kelly in 2010, and has been very closes races since. McSally shouldn't get too comfortable in her new DC digs, and hopefully we get a real Democratic nominee in 2016.
Welcome to third world Amerika, indeed - when a majority of voters dare to elect a Democratic President the Republicans retaliate by threatening impeachment - for using the Executive Power that every President, Democratic & Republican, have used and have the authority granted by the U.S. Constitution to do so. Since Congress refuses to act, I'm glad President Obama is using his Executive Power to stop our failed immigration policies from tearing families apart.
You voters in CD03 are so lucky. Over here in CD02 all we get is a choice between Martha No Muslim Garb! McSally and Ron I is Bipartisan! Barber.
"Tobin says he's hearing about worries from constituents that the recent wave of undocumented youth from Central America could cause an Ebola outbreak in the United States."
- So naturally, instead of reassuring these alleged constituents concerns that is highly unlikely, if not impossible, Tobin plays up to their fears by telling them "anything's now possible". Ebola has occurred in a very small area in west central Africa, thousands of miles away from central America, with no direct flights or sea travel between the two areas, and Ebola can be transmitted only by direct contact with blood or bodily fluids of an infected person or animal. Symptoms start two days to three weeks after contracting the virus, meaning that, despite the near impossibility of those kids having Ebola, the symptoms would be revealed in those temporary detention facilities that right wingers so vehemently opposed.
Andy Tobin - I'm not a doctor in real life, but I play one on the campaign trail.
"That's because they're in Saudi Arabia. What a moron."
I'm not a fan of Mr. Kiehne, but -
U.S. may be inching toward oil independence - USA Today, February 9, 2014:
"U.S. oil imports fell sharply again in 2013 while petroleum exports rose, leading some analysts to proclaim that a new era of energy independence is just a few years away. Experts largely credit new drilling techniques that have unearthed vast troves of previously inaccessible oil embedded in shale deposits in states such as North Dakota and Texas. Crude oil imports declined 9% last year to 2.8 billion barrels, lowest since 1995, and are down 17% since 2010, according to the Census Bureau."
- "lowest since 1995" - The Saudis are no longer kings, and that's a good thing.
Raul - And would "rolling military vehicles down our streets, carrying heavy duty weapons and wearing protective garb suitable for war zones" have had any affect on the outcome of Columbine, Newton, Boston Marathon or 9/11? Nope, none, nada, zippo.
