I was driving with my Dog on an old logging road near Willard Springs near Flagstaff. We came to a bend in the road that was not on my topo map. as we proceeded my dog began to whine and whimper. I stopped the car to let her out, she crawled down behind my seat and would not move. I then felt a bit light headed, my GPS stopped working and my old standby compass was spinning. All the trees in the area seemed twisted and were all leaning to the North. All the air around seemed to shimmer. I put the car in gear and proceeded on and at about 250 feet everything returned to normal. I again stopped, got out and looked back at an entirely different place then what I just drove thru, the trees were pointing up, my GPS came back on, my old compass was pointing true north. It did take a few minutes before my Dog stopped whinning. I have tried several times since to find that bend in the road with no luck.
