I think it's time for a podcast. Sell advertising there. Make up the money you're losing from this ridiculous decision by Cumulus.
The best part is... from a former ClearChannel employee (and a former program director of a ClearChannel station, to boot)... that corporate ClearChannel could care less about terrestrial signal. Let me say that again: ClearChannel Corporate no longer cares about terrestrial radio.
The shift in the business model in the "internet age" has mandates that say ClearChannel jocks MUST talk about iHeartRadio once an hour, outside of morning shows. Their money is in iHeart and terrestrial signals are just "clones" of the digital programming featured on those iHeartRadio stations.
I miss the days working for the "mom and pop" operation, i.e. Lotus, playing radio along side Jonas, et al. That day is gone.
If you want original, local audio content... download a podcast! I hate to say it, but it's the truth.
