I had stated the previous comment as to this article. I at the time had been requested to drive the van by the girlfriend at the time as I had had an valid drivers' license to Sam Levitts' to put in an application. On the way back she then wanted to stop off at the park and it was then that we were pulled over by an officer of the law for an bad taillight.
It was then discovered by the officer that there had been no insurance on this van of my at the time girlfriends' parents and that the officer confiscated my valid license and gave me an driving while suspended/revoked or canceled citation and ordered to appear in court as the vehicle had had no insurance. In 2011 I then sent in information that I had had an valid license and the driving while suspended/revoked or cancelled had been dismissed but still am charged with an issue of no mandatory insurance and expired registration on a van I did not own nor request permission to opperate as it had fell back on the girlfriend at the time to whom just showed up at my doorstep with it and the keys without any of my knowledge of it even coming to my doorstep with her and the keys in hand.
I thus had made no agreement with the parents for the van and its uses as it was of the daughters request and thus no information was given to me as to the fact. As for the courts I am still being held accountable for the charges and in light of an license plate trace the same license plate number from the van is now located on a truck in Texas 6yrs later from the impound yard.
What is your oppinion on this matter? I am at a loss and in total dismay over an issue of concern in this matter as to whom should have taken responsibility. The owners for giving their daughter the van without my knowledge or conscent to the van overall, or to the daughter for wanting the van and the use of it without letting me know of its coming to my residence prior to her just showing up with it or my for the ticket and charges on the van I did not own and had had no knowledge of the no insurance just that it showed up and was under the assumption that it was all legal. Yours and any other response(s) is desired.
