Re: “Rep. King Says Latino DREAMers Are Drug Mules

About 1,000,000 dreamers between 15 and 30. Say about 60% graduate HS (Tucson HS average 80%) , leaving 600,000 people. Of that 600,000 say 60% go to college (US rate 68%) leaving 360,000. USC estimates 10% of freshman are valedictorians which is 36,000. 36,000 x 100 is 3,600,000... trudging across desert carrying 75lb packs of weed.

You think someone would notice.

Re: “Kromko Comes Up Short on Initiative To Ban Red-Light Camera Enforcement

I rather like traffic light cameras... the seem to have reduced accidents at most major intersections where installed. This is good!

Re: “Newt Gingrich "Really Puzzled" By What He Should Call His Newfangled Telephone

Please don't be naive. He's trying to get contacts for fundraising ... and if they own a smartphone it indicates a certain affluence (except in my case!).

Re: “Katie Bolger: "I Have Embarrassed Myself, Family, Friends and Co-Workers, and For That I Am Truly Sorry"

Next time it's the stocks! Then dunking to see if she is a witch!

I am not into public humiliation ... But I suppose this is indicative of what happens in small towns. Yuck! In Paris or London this would I think be a non-issue.

Re: “The Skinny

Background checks are a start. Arming the public is the ideal of the weapons makers and will only serve to make people more likely to shoot someone when they lose their temper.

Even old Tombstone banned weapons inside city limits. Are we more more advanced than humans of 130 odd years ago. I think not.
