Pancho Villa was one of the meanest and cruelist cross-border criminals in our history, yet we are foreced to look at a statue honoring him in downtown Tucson. We must be out of our minds to glorify such a murder. The Americans, and their President, Woodrow Wilson, were so outraged at his attack that we they sent an Army led by General Pershing to Mexico to run him down. This was a failure, but not because we didn't at least try, and the message we sent was one that you don't cross our border and kill our people. It's time to begin the hunt and don't stop until the killing stops.
It amazes me that we celebrate, with a statue in downtown Tucson, one of the meanest and cruelist border criminals, Pancho Villa. Villa led his band of outlaws to Columbus, New Mexico (US side of the border) and murdered and pillaged the town. Why is there a statue to honor such a murderer? President Wilson, and the rest of America, was so outraged that he sent General Pershing into Mexico to hunt Villa down and bring him to Justice. This failed, so now we have to look at the statue of this criminal. Are we out of our collective minds?
I hope that it will sink in with Jesse Kelly that he will never be the Congressman from Tucson. He has been too extreme; lacking in knowledge; and living on his last sound bite. He cares not for the truth, and cares not that he is on the wrong side of history in what he espouses. He should set his ego aside and realize what he does to his family, and what he threatens to do to this district, by running in these losing election. Stay in the family business, there you are assured of a job. Keep your outlandish political opinions to yourself, and leave the important work to those who are prepared for the job.
