Tegan and Sara have performed at least twice in Tucson before, in 2007 at the Rialto, and in 2004, when they opened for Melissa Ferrick at Club Congress.
Bummed I missed that Death show, but it sounds like I would have gotten in trouble anyway.
That diss comes with a wink: I was friends with Mike Barker, one of "American Dad"'s creators, in college -- yes, at the UA.

This is such a great idea. It often seems that about 1/3 of my Facebook feed is along these same lines, but I commend the project-organizers for finding a place for all of them. It never gets old when people are talking about why they love Tucson. Let's hear it for civic pride!

Mike Barker, a creator and writer for "American Dad!" who worked on "Family Guy" in the past, is a UA grad.
