Tom F.: Your mean-spirited, malevolent , base comment that this young man was eliminated from the Human Population via Natural Selection; a result of your reactionary/ultra conservative notions of Social Darwinism is absurd!! Instead of reading "Natural Selection for Dummies" as your information source, I suggest that you enroll in a Biological Evolution course at the U of A.
This young man was 19 years old and made a fatal mistake. We all grieve with his Parents/Family/Friends, and Classmates .
"......scaling a 20-foot tower on the three-story hall on Highland Avenue around 3:55 a.m..." Such a tragedy for the Parents of this young man!!! Why???...Drugs? Alcohol?
"....TUSD isn't worth defending?? Really? We're the 3rd largest employer in Tucson and we educate the majority of our city's students. TUSD is essential to our community's economic growth...."

Community Education through: Student Success and Achievement via Behavioral and Academic Standards supported by a Competent and Dedicated School Board/Faculty/Staff/Administration and a modernized computer based Classroom Infrastructure.
Let’s remove the two Board members and replace them with conscientious/experienced EDUCATORS; Let’s cure the Administrative “BLOAT” at TUSD and use the Money to expand Computer Labs with the incorporation of supportive computer tutorial/interactive software. Let’s ensure that Students are being taught properly by utilizing Standardized Assessment Examinations at each Grade Level. Let’s ensure that Faculty/Staff/Administration retention and promotion are based on MERIT only.

The Arizona Daily Star should be changed to: The Arizona Daily Scat.
SB1062 is nothing more than a despicable attempt by a group of Senate Homophobic/Bigots to legalize their bigotry in the guise of "Religious Freedom". Not only should SB1062 be vetoed by the Governor, but its' supporters voted out of the Arizona Senate as being incapable of representing the diversity inherent in their constituency.
Before this matter goes any further, it would be advisable for those responsible for these attacks on Mr. Hernandez, to identify themselves, admit that what they did was wrong and hateful, and issue a public apology to Mr. Hernandez and the Gay Community.
