I am a downtown business owner. ALL of us involved with the Merchant's Council want to see a solution to the homeless population. ALL of us have been to forums and meetings and on and on and on. We're tired of talking. It's time for the powers that be to DO the things we've discussed in the meetings.
Was it a threat? That's how we saw it and addressed it. Harmless or not, going that route does nothing but create more animosity among those you are seeking help from.
Wow - and the mis-information continues. Be nice if folks did some research before commenting...but, alas, that's too much like work.
As a proud downtown denzien, I am happy to report that parking enforcement is now handing out tickets to those of you who missed "parallel parking 101" in driver's ed. Bring your checkbooks. Will the offenders be towed in the future? Let's hope so.
Grow Up, there Duh.
I've not been yet (I work a block down/east) but I'm hearing the same things - nice to have some upscale food downtown but it still needs a little work. Each time I walk by, they've always been pretty full which is great.
