Thank you for posting this. I was diverted from the area yesterday and wondered what was going on. You have satisfied my curiosity.
One can read News of the Weird on the internet and buy a crossword puzzle book. The Weekly is the only source for what's happening in Tucson that's all in one place every week. I don't know what those syndicated things cost, but I'd be willing to bet the money would go a long way towards the expenses necessary for local reporting.
But where will I put my cell phone?
I don't read them, either. Usually the print is small and dense and not worth the time to decipher. I wouldn't miss them if they were gone. You can get rid of News of the Weird and the crossword puzzle, too. I'm able to entertain myself. I read the paper to find out what's going on in Tucson and what events are worth my time. I would rather you take the money you're spending on these things and put it into investigative reporting and reviews.
I'm surprised that anyone with a Y chromosome would know the word orgeat. I thought this knowledge was restricted to Regency romance readers such as myself.
