Kudos to Mari Herreras for continuing to be an independent, thoughtful voice in Tucson. It is refreshing to read someone's article and agree with many points, not so much with others, yet feel challenged and inspired to be a better person and reengage in community dialogue. Thank you, Mari! Your voice makes us all think a little harder and improve our game.
Thank you.
@ Jim. So, after that bad move, they then rescheduled the meeting to take place on May 5. Hmmm. Irony? Disconnect? You be the judge.
@ Joey. I think I am understanding you but please say more.
The way I see it, we should all be held accountable and/or be supported given the issue at hand. Support should not be taken for granted.
Either way, we all need to pull together to defend the MAS program now. Wouldn't you agree, Joey?
Also, MAS is for ALL students. Any student that wants to can sign up for these courses. It has never been the case that they are only open to Mexican American kids. That has been a false rumor spread around to discredit the program.
Thank you, Baldenegro family, for your enduring support for our community and our kids. You all have been doing it for decades. Now Sal Jr. has become such a powerful, beautiful voice that helps keep the Chicana/o Movement alive & kicking in Tucson, AZ! And thank you, Mari Herreras, for your excellent work on this article!
Thank you, Baldenegro Family, for always fighting for our community and our kids. You all have been doing it for decades and it's truly appreciated. Thanks you Mari Herreras for the excellent article!
Re: “Pedicone to Resign As TUSD Superintendent”
Perhaps the board that made that hire in the fist places should have considered the "chaos and instability" to come.
