Mighty Matilda, You are living in a bubble of illusion. It's not 40 years of liberal policies. Who has been in charge for the past 10 years? All conservative GOP. And Trump's popularity? November will tell. I think he will get schlonged.
We have a choice......accept the deal and hope that it works out with the support of Russia, Germany, the UK and other world powers, all looking in on Iran, and bring Iran into the international sphere of nations. As a side benefit, Iranian oil will lower gas prices for American consumers. Refuse it because we don't trust Iran? That means maintain the status quo, and Iran continues to develop weapons on the sly. Bush ignored Clinton intiatives with North Korea so they could push for tougher sanctions and make North Korea submit. The result of acting tough? North Korea became a nuclear power.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.....support this treaty...and verify compliance over the next decade. The war mongers alternative is more war in the Middle East...and how is that working out?
Be sure they visit the Desert Museum to experience the tremendous ecological diversity that exists in the Sonoran Desert.
Orr is better than most of the Republicans in Phoenix, but Friese and Steele are much better supporters of our public schools. Arizona ranks at the bottom of the state's for supporting our schools. Time to throw some money at the problem.
First gut AZPM, then go after marijuana research. President Hart and her army of well-paid assistants-to-the-president-in charge-of-feather bedding- and-ass-kissing are a disgrace. Fire Hart, ignore Biggs, bring back Sissley.
MY daughter went to public school and got a very good education in the widely-maligned TUSD. The Republicans have pushed the meme that "our public schools are failing" for so long that they actually believe it. They are wrong. Test continually show that most public schools do a better job than most charters. If students are enrolled in one of the few poorly performing schools, they have the freedom to enroll them elsewhere. Home schoolers? Most parents greatly underestimate the difficulty of teaching and end up with kids who are socially and academically inept. The longer they remain at home, the further behind they become.
Hooray for the O'Odham nation. The law is clear....they have the right to be compensated for land lost to flooding by federal dams. Their plan to build on land near Glendale's stadium and entertainment complex is shrewd. If the same plan were being pushed by some Snottsdale group of investors, it would be viewed as a display of business acumen. Neanderthal Congressman Trent Franks and Go-nowhere oppose it? That in itself is reason to like the idea.
