I am not condoning Mr. Fuller's actions. However, ABC News shares some responsibility in setting up this situation.
This event (which I attended) was billed as an attempt to start "healing" after this tragedy. Instead, ABC News used the occasion to raise questions about gun control, an incendiary topic at the best of times.
It seems common sense that you do not gather people who have been traumatized by a mass shooting, under the guise of "healing," and then bring up guns and gun laws. This was not the proper forum for that discussion, never mind that the timing couldn't be worse. On that, I can agree with Trent Humphries.
