Re: “Governor Brewer Offers Her Condolences, Unnecessary Political Statement

Gov. Brewer was absolutely right....she had no choice but to use this opportunity to highlight what she and Arizona have been trying to tell Obama, Holder, Napolitano and the whole country. We have a serious problem with illegal aliens, drug cartels, human trafficing, etc. We need to secure our border and the few Border Patrol we have to try and do the job our government won't do, is just awful. Why is our government putting our people in harms way, even our ambassadors...duh! Yes, it is risky, but when they ask for help and more security, our government should respond. JMHO

Re: “Brewer Bans Benefits for Deferred Action DREAMers

WTG Gov. Brewer. Being legal, that's one thing, but illegal is a crime and breaking our law. They should have no rights, no jobs here and certainly no welfare benefits. We are a struggling nation, deeply in debt, high unemployment and we don't need any additional burden to carry. Do I empathize, yes, but we have to take care of our own.

Re: “Russell Pearce Comments on the Aurora Shooting

I would have thought someone could have made an attempt to tackle him when he stopped to reload. If vision was so bad, they surely had some idea as to where the firing was coming from. If vision was all that bad, the shooter perhaps would not have been able to see another person coming at him. A two way street?

Re: “A Reminder: The Concert for Ron Barber Is Tomorrow Night

I have all the empathy in the world for Gabbie, but I feel this article is way too biased for this election. Why are you making such a big thing out of this Concert for Ron Barber? Where is equal time and news given to his opposition, i.e., Jesse Kelly? Very unfair of Tucson Weekly. Not fair and balanced news at all. Bad as KGUN9!

Re: “Joe Arpaio: Still Chasing Bad Ideas

Have a friend who is a teacher in graphic arts. She told me that a first year student could do a better job of falsifying Obama's birth certificate than the one he's presented as authentic. I'm sure Sheriff Joe Arpaio knows what he's doing. Yes, he's also doing a great job in Maricopa County. Only because he IS doing such a good job have Obama and the DOJ zeroed in on him trying to ruin and discredit him. They fear him for he is doing the job they refuse to do and he very well may discredit Obama and his gang.

Re: “Obama Outbids Kyl on Deficit Reduction

Agree with AZRally. Makes sense. We need to reduce taxes on small business, increase taxes on large corporations like GE who find all kinds of tax loopholes. We should also tax these coporations who outsource and tax everything from these foreign countries that we import from. This just might discourage outsourcing and bring back the businesses, industries and jobs that we once had. It would also do wonders for reducing our debt and increase our GDP. We, citizens, might not be rocket scientists, but common sense can do wonders. Unfortunately, our leaders seem to have left their brains and common sense somewhere else.

Re: “Kyl Walks Out on Budget Talks

No More Taxes!! That was what I heard from Obama! He continues to blame Bush yet they want to raise taxes, not just on the wealthy, but everybody. There we go...into another double-dip recession.
