It's Great to hear that Alan Michaels is back on the air. Now, how about someone giving Big Al Kath a permanent morning/afternoon drive traffic reports once again. He is the BEST!
I am not surprised to hear that Rob Lantz is bailing from the Titanic that is K-CUB. If the Station group knew anything, they would get rid of the albatross that is above the PD. If the station keeps it up, the Jim Rome Show and more importantly the U of A will certainly take their ball and go elsewhere. First, John and Brad were sent packing (mistake) now Lantz is going to PBS/NPR. Kevin Woodman (the biggest talent-sorry to use that phrase) would be smart and grab a life preserver before Special K sinks the ship or simply runs it aground. Congrats to John/Brad for landing on your feet. It's a long way from Whiskey Row, Shu.
Schu and Brad, Congrats. I am glad to hear the news. A couple of suits at 1290 made the changes that have given you the freedom to take them down with they're former game. While Rob and Kevin will remain friends, I will look forward to the flexibility and experience that you and Brad will bring to the table. Who knows, maybe those same suits will soon be giving you a call to ask whether there are any openings at your new station? Good Luck...
I think that you need to do something on stories about radio of yesteryear. I have countless examples from kcky-coolidge, knot-prescott and ktti-yuma. Thats without going into kblu-yuma, kaff-flagstaff or knst-tucson. Lets talk
The longer that I live in the Old Pueblo, the more former residents from the Keystone State I meet. Welcome to another Steelers fan...
Babs is fantastic and she was one of my favorite co-workers, along with Mindy Blake. I'm so glad to hear she's not going anywhere.
