Air roasted coffee and then refrigerated, I can't think of a worse method - unless of course you roast coffee in a cast iron skillet and then put into the fridge...
Easily the worst espresso in Tucson, not to mention anywhere with an espresso machine. The grind is set so course all you get is over-extracted hot water, almost threw it up.
On the plus, they do have good scones.
Hurray for Caffe Luce, it's just unbelievable they took second! Equally surprising is that Savaya Coffee Market didn't place. The two only true specialty roasters in Tucson.
I'm embarrassed that Michael (Caffe Luce) has to share the same page/honor as raging sage or arbuckles.
Tucson has a long way to go to understand specialty coffee and appreciate it, thank God Caffe Luce' is receiving recognition for the true craftsmanship they put into their quality coffee.
